Can I get some good bible verses about praying for others?

I want some verses to aid me in my prayer for an ex boyfriend. He’s making some very bad decisions with his life and I still deeply love him, even though he’s pushed me out of his life completely. I’ve been fasting and praying, but I know I can’t make any changes for him but is there some good verses for praying for others? I’m not trying to get him back through prayer, I’m just deeply concerned for him.

Ephesians 1:17-18
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and
revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that
you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his
incomparably great power for us who believe.

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that
Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have

this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Philippians 1:9-12
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you
may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of
righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else . . . May he strengthen
your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes
with all his holy ones.

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his

    What are you hoping God will accomplish on account of your prayers? You said you are not praying for him to return to you, that’s cool. So, what are you wanting then? Are you praying for his salvation? For safety for him? Or anything else?

    I think the best way to pray is to start your prayer and simply pour your heart out to God. Find a place where you can be alone for a while and just simply talk to God. Let yourself cry if that happens, let yourself be angry, let yourself be happy. If a Bible verse comes to your mind, read it. Pray it. If you don’t know how to pray this way, then ask God to teach you–He will. Pray to him honestly and openly, listening to His direction.

    How about, judge not? Let he who has no sin cast the 1st stone. If Jesus can stop the mob from stoning a whore named Mary to death, you can’t judge him for anything.

    1. God answers intercessory prayer; Acts 12:1-17, Peter was unjustly imprisoned, the church met for prayer, Peter was set free. 2. Jesus died so that we may live forever with Him; I Thessalonians 5:9-11. We are to pray for others. Luke 22:32. See also John 17:9. and We are to follow Jesus’ example; Isaiah 52:12; Isaiah 59:16. Luke 23:34; Acts 2:38 also encourages us to share the gospel with others.
